Which is better? My answer — Both! I bet you can’t even choose which picture is from a Mini Session and which is from a Full Session. Choosing which one is best for you is all about your preference. Let me explain.

Full Sessions last up to an hour, allowing us to choose the perfect location, take our time, and explore different areas together. These extended sessions provide ample opportunity for us to connect and help you overcome any pre-photo jitters. I highly recommend choosing a full-length session for maternity, newborn, and milestone photos. Engagement sessions can also benefit greatly from this format, though it isn’t always necessary. You also receive about 20-50 photos included in the price. You may be an “I want them all!” person, like me!
When working with young children, it’s essential to allow plenty of time for them to relax and express their emotions. This approach helps alleviate any stress you might feel about them spending the entire session in tears. Even if they do get upset, there’s no need to worry. Kids are naturally emotional, and it’s vital for us all to practice patience and let them work through their feelings.
Mini sessions, on the other hand, are a delightful 15 minutes long!(sometimes even less) I absolutely adore mini sessions. They provide a wonderful way for little ones to remain engaged without feeling overwhelmed. Additionally, they offer you a chance to preview my work and determine if I’m the right fit for your photography needs without fully committing to the standard pricing. You’ll typically have the option to select your favorite photos, with the possibility to purchase additional images if desired. For some people less is more. But on the other hand you get the option to be the “I want them all!” person still.
Despite their differences, both session types share similarities. As a lifestyle photographer, my passion lies in capturing genuine interactions between you and your loved ones. Whether it’s moments of joy or instances where you’re comforting a child, I aim to document the authentic emotions that matter most. Throughout both session types, I ensure to capture a mix of posed shots—where everyone smiles at the camera—and candid moments that truly reflect your family’s dynamic.
